Our participation at International Conference on Electrical Bio-Impedance (ICEBI) & XIV conference on Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) HeilbadHeiligenstadt, Germany

PhD research student Ahmed Raihan Abir along with our department Chairperson Prof K Siddique-e Rabbani participated in the International Conference on Electrical Bio-Impedance (ICEBI)-2013& XIV conference on Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT), held from 22 to 25 April,2013 at Heilbad Heiligenstadt, Germany. There they presented three papers, all based on the simple Tetra-polar Impedance Method (TPIM) and Focused Impedance Method (FIM), the latter being an innovation of our group. These papers were on breast tumour classification, neonatal and child respiration rate measurement, and a comparative study of the effects of an object in 3D on FIM measurements using Finite Element Simulation (using COMSOL package) and experimental phantom study. An ex-student of our group, Ms. Humayra Ferdous, who is currently doing a PhD work on the application of FIM for lungs function for at University of Oslo, Norway also presented her work at the conference. With four useful and innovative work using FIM,our work got quite a bit of limelight at the conference, and was well appreciated by many scientists.
