First set of Telemedicine equipment handed over to DGHS, Bangladesh

Finally, our first set of telemedicine equipment has been handed over to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Bangladesh on 14th May, 2012. This package includes four digital instruments and necessary software for real time data transmission over internet. The instruments are:
1.Digital Stethoscope
2.Digital Microscope
3.Digital X-ray view box
4.Digital ECG (12 lead, diagnostic quality)
The MIS division of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of the Government of Bangladesh has already set up 800 rural health complex all over the country with good Internet connectivity to provide remote health assistance to the rural areas. This telemedicine system has been developed keeping this network of rural health complexes in mind so that providing remote health care becomes easier and affordable.
