Recently a press release has been arranged on 28th august,2014 focusing A simple device that uses sunshine to render flood water drinkable, and a simple collection method of pure and clean rainwater, a technology innovated by the Department of Biomedical Physics & Technology of Dhaka University. The press release was presented by Dr. Siddique-e Rabbani, Professor and Chairperson of the Department. Dr. Rabbani and his team strongly believes this simple yet innovative technology will help rendering the flood water drinkable or collecting rainwater for drinking when it rains thus providing pure drinking water for millions of people in flood affected areas.
