Admission Test

  1. A written admission test  of 100 marks will be taken with the following marks distribution:
(i) MCQ*     

( 70 marks )

 Concepts of Physics    

Mechanics and Properties of Matter, Waves and Oscillations, Atomic and Molecular Physics, Electricity and Magnetism, Optics, Thermal Physics, Radiation Physic, Modern Physics.

Engineering Fundamentals

Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering:

  • DC circuits, AC circuits
  • Diodes, Transistors, Op-Amp, Differential Amplifiers, Instrumentation Amplifiers, Filters
  • Digital Electronics, Memory devices, Timer circuits
  • Analog and Digital Signals and Systems
  • Computer Fundamentals and Programming

Biomedical Engineering:

Basics of Human body, Bio-signals, Sensors, Bio-instrumentation, Medical Imaging

 30×1=30
Mathematical & Analytical Aptitude  

Analytical Aptitude:

Identify key information, apply logic, and find patterns

Fundamentals of Mathematics:

Linear algebra, Vector analysis, Geometry, Trigonometry, Complex variables, Calculus, Statistics

 15×1=15
(ii) Short Questions   ( 30 marks ) Concepts of Physics 5×3=15
Engineering Fundamentals 5×3=15
Total 100

*Negative marking of 0.20 will be applicable for each wrong answer in MCQ.

** Calculator is allowed. 

***Applicants must bring the original bank deposit slip and printed admit card during the admission test.

  1. Shortlisted candidates based on the results of the written admission test will have to appear at an interview for final selection.
  2. Short listed candidates must bring the following Original Copies during the interview:
  • Transcript/ Marksheet of Masters Degree (if applicable)
  • Transcript/ Marksheet of Bachelor’s Degree
  • Transcript/ Marksheet and Certificate of HSC/ A – Level
  • Transcript/ Marksheet and Certificate of SSC/ O – Level
