Welcome to the Department of Biomedical Physics and Technology

Starting its journey on November 3, 2008 under the founding Chairman, Professor Khondkar Siddique-e Rabbani, this department aims high to make itself one of the centerpieces in the area of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering and Technology in Bangladesh. This post-graduate multidisciplinary department emphasizes research and development aimed at delivering the benefits of modern healthcare technology to the common people in the Third World Countries like Bangladesh. The mission of the department is to create manpower for developing health care technology, to understand, install and operate sophisticated biomedical equipment in hospitals and to assist medical doctors in diagnosing diseases and preparing treatment plans.
