MS in Biomedical Physics & Technology Admission Notice, Session 2015-2016

Applications are invited from prospective students desiring to join a full-time MS programme in Biomedical Physics & Technology, with specialization in (a) Medical Physics or (b) Biomedical Engineering, to be offered by the Department of Biomedical Physics & Technology, Faculty of Science, University of Dhaka. The duration of the programme is one academic year. Application Requirements:
  • Medical Physics: Seats: 15. Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
  • must have a minimum First Division or GPA of 3.50 out of 5.00 or equivalent grades in both S.S.C. and H.S.C. or in equivalent examinations
  • four (4) year graduation (or equivalent) in Physics, Applied Physics, Medical Physics and related subjects with at least 50% marks or a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.0 from any recognized university.
A written admission test (MCQ) of 100 marks will be taken with the following marks distribution: Concepts of Physics (60%);  Mathematical & Analytical Aptitude (40%).
  • Biomedical Engineering: Seats: 15. Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
  • must have a minimum First Division or GPA of 3.50 out of 5.00 or equivalent grades in both S.S.C. and H.S.C. or in equivalent examinations
  • four (4) year graduation (or equivalent) in Physics, Applied Physics & Electronics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronics and related subjects with at least 50% marks or a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.0 from any recognized university.
A written admission test (MCQ) of 100 marks will be taken with the following marks distribution: Concepts of Physics (30%); Electronics and Computer Basics (40%); Mathematical & Analytical Aptitude (30%).   UPDATE 23.12.2016 : Selected candidates for the admission in the session of MS 2015-16 are given below:
